Total Curriculum Framework
Enhanced Total Curriculum Framework (eTCF)
The Enhanced Total Curriculum Framework (eTCF) guides how we nurture Thinkers Today and Leaders Tomorrow. It brings together our curriculum, character development, and school culture under one clear direction.
Our eTCF ensures that teaching is purposeful and learning is engaging. It aligns with our three strategic thrusts: ‘Students, Our Focus’ , ‘Staff, Our Key’ and ‘Partners, Our Leverage’. This alignment keeps our work coherent and centred on the holistic growth of every student.
We place strong emphasis on the joy of teaching and learning. Teachers design meaningful lessons using differentiated instruction, AI in Education, and strategies from the science of learning. They also use balanced assessment to support progress. Teaching is guided by clear intent, and assessment is used to strengthen learning so that lessons remain rigorous, relevant, and motivating.
The framework also develops key competencies for the future. Students build communication, collaboration, and information skills. They learn to think critically, adapt to change, and generate new ideas. They also develop civic, global, and cross-cultural awareness so they can contribute responsibly in a complex world.
Character development remains central to our work. Through Social-Emotional Learning, National Education, and Values Education, we nurture resilience, empathy, and integrity.
Guided by Positive Education and the PERMAH (Positive emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Accomplishments and Health) approach, we also create a caring environment where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to take ownership of their growth. Through the eTCF, we translate our vision into daily practice and support every Seng Kang learner to grow into a confident thinker and purposeful leader.
