Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the naming convention for Student iCON email address?
- The student’s email address will be based on @students.edu.sg
- Any space in the Full Name will be replace with underscore
- Please note that “bin”, “bte”, “s/o” and “d/o” will not appear in the given email address
- To differentiate student with the same name, a numerical character will be added (e.g. Alex_1, Alex_3 etc)

Q4. What are the default Google applications available for each level?

5. What is the password requirement?
- Must be at least 8 character(s) long
- Contain at least 1 lowercase letter(s)
- Contain at least 1 numeric character(s)
- Contain at least 1 uppercase letter(s)
- Contain at least 2 alphabetic character(s)
- Must not be longer than 24 character(s)
- Must not be one of 3 previous passwords
- Must not match or contain first name
- Must not match or contain last name
- Must not match or contain user ID
6. Here are some possible errors that you might encounter during login.
- Error AADSTS900561 given by the Google website
- Website does not load
- Website keeps refreshing itself without loading the page
- Error 400. Server cannot process the request because it is malformed
- Received a prompt to enter a mobile number verification.
What should I do?
For bullet points 1 to 4,
- Check that the browser is supported by Student iCON by referring to the Operating System/Browser table shown above.
- Close the browser and reopen it.

Proceed to https://workspace.google.com/dashboard and repeat the logging in procedure. For bullet point 5,
- Enter one of the parent’s/guardian’s mobile number and a one time pin (OTP) will be sent to that number, proceed to key in the given OTP.
Alternatively, you can proceed to use Incognito Mode on your browser to login.
7. I received the following message: Your account is temporarily locked to prevent unauthorized use.
- Proceed to inform School Based Helpline or inform your form teachers.
